| Frohlich was Austrian born and educated in Vienna. He became interested as a neuroanatomist studies of the hypothalamus as well as in the sympathetic nerves system. But his interest was enhanced by his clinical studies on glands of internal secretion. He is remembered by his classic description of dystrophia adiposogenitalis. |  |
