Clinical Observer

The Department of Neurosurgery is pleased to accommodate clinical observers, who will have the opportunity to observe neurosurgical cases in the OR, participate in ICU and resident rounds and attend conferences. Observers will not have access to hands-on patient care or direct involvement in surgery.

To request a visit as clinical observer status, the following information is needed:

• Cover letter including dates of requested visit
• Curriculum Vitae
• Photo
• Letter of good standing as a neurosurgeon or neurosurgical trainee, from applicant's home institution. (Medical students or undergraduate students should provide a letter confirming current status from their institution.)

Housing during clinical observer visit can be arranged through the Department of Neurosurgery, within the departmental shared student dormitory housing on the University campus for a nominal daily fee of $25/day based on availability.
