2005-2006 Graduate College Outstanding Thesis Award

Susan Vahebi is the recipient of the 2005-2006 Graduate College Outstanding Thesis Award in Life Sciences.

Dr. Vahebi's thesis research was performed in the laboratory of Dr. R. John Solaro. On May 13, 2005 she defended her Thesis titled "Regulation of CardiacMyofilament Mechano-Energetics by G-Protein Signaling"

Dr. Vahebi is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University, Institute of Molecular Cardiology in Baltimore Maryland.

This annual award is given to the most outstanding dissertation in each of the four Graduate Program areas, namely: Behavioral and Social Science; Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences; Fine Arts and Humanities; and Life Sciences. Each of the four Awards will include a monetary award.
