The UIC Department of Physiology and Biophysics occupies approximately 36,467 square feet of primarily contiguous space on the second floor of the College of Medicine. Approximately 25,329 square feet is research laboratory space. In May 2005, all of the basic science departments at UIC, except for Biochemistry and Molecular Genetic will move into a new state of the art research building. The new building is contiguous with existing space and some space in the existing building will be retained.
