Training in Cellular Signaling in the Cardiovascular System

The Training Program in Cellular Signalling invites application for admission to it Ph.D. program. The program provides a broad training experience encompassing physiology, cellular and Molecular biology and biophysics of signalling processes in diverse cell types. Graduate studies leading to the Ph.D. degree offer a unique experience for the student interested in integrating cellular and molecular biology with physiological function usng state-of-the-art technology. Laboratory rotations provide an initial exposure to these areas.

The program has an outstanding well supported training faculty from the departments of Physiology and Biophysics, Cardiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Anatomy and Cell Biology at UIC. Also the department of Physiology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center Medical College.

This program is supported by an NIH Training Grant "Cellular Signaling in the Cardiovascular System", the departments and by individual faculty research grants.
