Some Experimental Results

Imaging of perfused rat heart. a) saggital localizer, b) axial image, c) myocardial wall motion between mid-diastole and mid-systole.

a)

b)

c)
Tagged cardiac mid-ventricular axial images of a mouse heart using DANTE saturation and gradient-echo sequence: a) end diastolic and b) mid systolic, c) coronal localizer. Imaging parameters: TR=250ms, TE=1.9ms, FOV=25mm (axial images cropped to show 10x10mm area), acquisition matrix 256x256 (1024x1024 after reconstruction), slice thickness 1mm, acquisition time < 10min, tag grid spacing is 0.3mm.

a) b) c)
Tagged images data analysis: a) regional myocardial wall motion, b) map of E1 strain tensor, c) map of E2 strain tensor. Red and blue colors indicate stretch and shortening, respectively. Strain analysis program courtesy of Drs. Xin Yu and Wei Liu.
