The Department of Pharmacology has research strengths in vascular and lung biology, cell signaling, molecular pharmacology of G proteins, molecular and cellular basis of inflammation, and neuropharmacology. Investigators lead programs in both basic and translational research (including drug discovery) related to a number of pathologies including acute lung injury, inflammatory diseases, thrombosis, acute transplant rejection, cardiovascular disorders, tumor metastasis, and atherosclerosis.
