Stem Cell Faculty Recruitment

The Department of Pharmacology at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine (Chicago) is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor appointment in the field of Stem Cell Biology.  Candidates should have a PhD and/or MD degree, an outstanding publication record in any of these area: 1) stem cell biology in the field of lung and vascular biology; 2) signal transduction of stem cell differentiation and self-renewal; 3) stem cell-based therapy and regenerative medicine.  The department has strong research and training programs on lung and vascular biology (http://www.uic.edu/depts/mcph/) and consistently ranks among the top nationally.   The successful candidate will have extensive opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, and a highly competitive startup package will be offered.  Applications will be screened up to December 1, 2009.  Please send by e-mail a single PDF file containing (1) CV, (2) a summary of major research accomplishments and future research plan, (3) names, addresses, and e-mail addresses for three references to : AP005 Search (e-mail:pharmjob@uic.edu), Department of Pharmacology (MC 868), University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Medicine, 835 S.
