Pharmacology of sleep and sleep disorders. Central mechanisms of sleep apnea (cessation of respiration) and pharmacological approach in the treatment of this sleep-breathing disorder. Based on our experiments in the rat model of sleep apnea and on preliminary studies in humans, we developed drug treatments of the disease.
