Professor Guy Chan, now retired as the Chair of Ophthalmology at Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia, PA, was Dr. Folberg's first instructor of ophthalmology. His wife, Dr. Nongnart R. Chan, was Dr. Folberg's first mentor in ophthalmic pathology. They are pictured here at the dock of the Star Ferry connecting Kowloon to Hong Kong Island. Professor Guy Chan continues to be active in ophthalmic education in Hong Kong.
