We feature a same-day turnaround time for consultation slides and a 24 hour turnaround time for processing and interpretation of small biopsy samples: we usually process and interpret enucleation specimens within 48 hours of receipt.
Our laboratory is CLIA certified and accredited by the College of American Pathologists. Our laboratory is completely integrated with other laboratories in the University of Illinois at Chicago making the latest cutting-edge diagnostic techniques in immunopathology and molecular pathology available to the diagnosis of ocular disorders. The laboratory features 100% digital imaging, permitting us to provide referring pathologists and ophthalmologists with material for their patients and teaching files.
