Photoluminescence Equipment

The PL used at MPL is a medium resolution setup that can achieve a temperature as low as 12K. This unit is more than adequate for stimulated measurementsPL- Click to enlarge this picture and for the study of LED and laser diodes' spectral outputs. This equipment includes:
  • a vacuum monochromator,
  • a PC to drive this monochromator,
  • a closed-cycle helium cryostat and an avenger for pulsed stimulated emission measurements,
  • an argon ion laser model with UV optics,
  • a Nd:YAG laser with a Q-switch that generates pulses and a crystal for second harmonic generation,
  • and an assortment of lenses, filters, windows and optical accessories.
