Several degree-granting Departments at the University of Illinois at Chicago have Neurobiology and/or Neuroscience as one of their academic and research strengths. For any number of reasons, students who choose to pursue Graduate training at UIC may decide to participate in either Departmental or Interdepartmental Programs like Neuroscience. The following Departments that offer Graduate degrees in their specific discipline participate in the Interdepartmental Concentration in Neuroscience. Follow the links to find out more about the Program and its faculty. Faculty listed as Neuroscience faculty will have their primary or secondary academic appointments in one of these Departmental Programs.

There are other Departments and Centers who do have degree-granting programs, but do have an active research faculty focused on Neuroscience. Students who choose to work with research faculty in these Departments or Centers will participate either in the Graduate Program to which the faculty has a secondary appointment or with the Graduate Program in Neuroscience.
