AARCC Staff 2007-08

AARCC News and Upcoming Events

NEED A JOB for 08-09 (or even this summer)? Join us at AARCC!

Though we have hired most of our student staff for next year, we have
reopened the search for the Campus Outreach Coordinator to start by the end
of the summer.

The Campus Outreach coordinator will be the liaison between AARCC
and UIC's Asian American student organizations. This will involve
attending organization meetings, getting to know organization officers, and
coordinating the Asian American Student Leaders Council. We are looking
for an enthusiastic student with strong communication skills who has
experience working with UIC student organizations, as well as publicizing
events. Applicants should be comfortable taking the initiative to meet new
people, and be able to attend occasional student organization meetings in
the early evening. Note: we would prefer that this position start in the
summer.

This position will also assist with Asian American Awareness Month in
April, as well as general outreach and publicity for AARCC events. We
expect this position to require approximately 10-15 hours per week. It
pays $8.01/hour and are open to both Work-study and non-work-study
students. The position will start immediately upon availability, but no
later than early August 2008.

To apply, send a resume, cover letter, and application to eychan@uic.edu or bring in person to AARCC office (101 Taft Hall). For more information, contact AARCC at 312-413-9569.

Application deadline is Friday, July 11th.
