The Asian American Mentor Program wants to help YOU!
-
Are you a new Asian American freshman or transfer student to UIC in Fall 2008?
-
Are you interested in having a returning student help you to “learn the ropes” at UIC?
-
Are you interested in meeting new people and developing personal networks?
If you answered “yes” to these questions, then AARCC would like to invite YOU to participate in the Asian American Peer Mentor Program! This program is designed to help ease the transition to UIC for new Asian American freshmen and transfer students. We are looking for students who are interested in making the most of their time at UIC by connecting with others and getting involved on campus.

New students will be assigned into mentoring groups of 2 mentors and 3-5 mentees. They will be expected to maintain weekly contact with their peer mentors and attend occasional AARCC-sponsored events. A variety of social, cultural, and educational events will be held during the fall semester.
To sign up, fill out this Mentee Information Form here, at Freshman Orientation (look for us at Marketplace) and also at AARCC in 101 Taft Hall.
Deadline is Friday, September 5 (deadline extended).
