Departmental Teaching Excellence Award (DTEA) Program Announcement

The Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and the Council for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) are pleased to announce the 2012-2013 Departmental Teaching Excellence Award (DTEA) program.  The DTEA is designed to reward UIC academic units that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to teaching and have documented instructional excellence. Unlike other UIC programs that recognize the achievements of individual faculty, the DTEA recognizes the achievement of the entire department (or other eligible academic unit).

The DTEA offers a one-time stipend of $20,000 to each department selected for this award.  This year, we will be recognizing the accomplishments of ONE (1) deserving department.  
Please refer to the program guidelines for important information regarding the content and submission of applications.  We strongly recommend that interested departments carefully review these guidelines before submitting applications. 

The deadline for receipt of applications is 4:30 P.M., Friday, April 19, 2013.
