Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) Academic Leadership Program (ALP)
- Goal
The Academic Leadership Program (ALP) is designed to develop the leadership and managerial skills of faculty/academic professionals on CIC campuses who have demonstrated exceptional ability and administrative promise.
- For whom:
The selection criteria will emphasize tenured faculty members who have demonstrated leadership ability through university administrative assignments (e.g., as department chairs or associate chairs, assistant or associate deans, or vice presidents, officers of the faculty senate, chairs of important university-wide committees) or through significant leadership positions in public, private, or volunteer agencies or programs outside of higher education. Institutions may choose to include administrative leaders from their non-faculty professional staff in their group of Fellows. Women and minorities are encouraged to participate.
