The
David Dodds Henry Lectures in Higher Education are endowed
by gifts to the University of Illinois Foundation in recognition
of Dr. Henry's contributions to the administration of higher
education, including his career as president of the University
of Illinois from 1955 until 1971. The lectures are intended
to focus upon the study of the organization, structure, or
administration of higher education, as well as its practice.
Selection of persons to present the lecture is the responsibility
of the chancellors of the three campuses of the University.
Presentation of the lectures is alternated among the Chicago,
Springfield, and Urbana Champaign campuses.
