To identify and establish essential functions, abilities, skills and knowledge for programs, courses, employment, and activities, and to evaluate faculty, staff and students on this basis;
To request and receive, through the Disability Resource Center, current documentation that supports requests for reasonable accommodations, academic adjustments, assistive technology and services;
To deny a request for reasonable accommodations, academic adjustments or assistive technology and services if the documentation demonstrates that they are not warranted, or if the student fails to provide appropriate documentation;
To select among equally effective reasonable accommodations, adjustments or assistive technology and services;
To refuse an unreasonable accommodation, adjustment or assistive technology or service or one that imposes an undue hardship or fundamental alteration of a program or activity of UIC;
