Purpose: To introduce people to American Sign Language and the Deaf culture and to increase awareness about deafness on campus. We also seek to promote diversity by creating an environment of acceptance.
Meetings:
Summer 2009 meetings every other Wednesday
When:
June 3rd, June 17th, July 1, July 15th, July 29th, August 12th, and August 26th. We also meet unofficially all the Wednesdays in between these, just to practice. We are also hosting outings on June 10th, July 10th, and August 7th. Email Sarah Franz for more details about events.
Location:
Student Center West (SCW) at 828 South Wolcott Street on the West side of campus. All official meetings are located in room 206AB except for August 12th is in room 219.
If you do not get the group emails, room signs will be clearly posted on the day of the meeting in SCW on the second floor.

Everyone is welcome to attend. We have both beginner and intermediate sign language groups. We welcome those who are curious about the language and about Deaf culture.
