Automatic doors are located at the east entrance to the library
Parking:
The closest accessible parking is in Lot 9.
Accessible Route from Parking Lot:
From the parking lot, exit on Harrison street and cross over to the other side and go south to get into the building (approaching from the east side).
Accessible Route from Shuttle Bus Stop:
From the shuttle bus stop on Harrison street outside Student Residence and Commons, go south to get into the building (approaching from the east side)
Accessible restrooms:
There is an accessible men’s and women’s restroom on each floor of the library.
Accessible elevators:
There are 4 elevators on the west side of the building. Only the elevator at the northwest end is accessible. Currently this elevator is out of service and is due to be replaced.
Assistive Technology:An electronic height adjustable work station is located on the second floor. The computer on this work station is equipped with JAWS 6.0, Kurzweil 3000 Pro; a Black and White 10.0 scanner, and Zoomtext 9.1. Headphones are available at the Circulation Desk. However, users are encouraged to bring their own for hygienic purposes.A Telesensory Aladdin Pro CCTV is located in the Reference Reading Room on the second floor.
Retrieving Library Materials:Library staff can provide basic research assistance as well as assistance with retrieving books and journals from the stacks and photocopying of materials for patrons with disabilities. Deaf and hard of hearing students can request a sign language interpreter during regular work hours (8:30am – 5:00 pm).
