Diversity Strategic Planning (August 2009 – January 2010)
Diversity Strategic Planning – the second stage of the DSTP process – will be shaped by and built upon the outcomes of our Diversity Strategic Thinking activities. Diversity Strategic Planning will begin in fall 2009, and final Diversity Strategic Plans for the campus, colleges and administrative units will be published by January of 2010.
The campus Diversity Strategic Plan will articulate the university’s diversity agenda. The plan will include our diversity vision and mission, our goals and aims, and the programs, policies and activities that will move UIC towards achievement of these goals. Similarly, each college and administrative unit will craft a Diversity Strategic Plan that communicates their distinctive agenda. The outcome of this planning will also include approaches and mechanisms for regular assessment of our progress and the effectiveness of our activities toward achievement of our diversity goals.
