Faculty Infant/Toddler/Child and Elder Care Resources and Referral Program (Child and Elder Care R&R)
This one-year (April 5, 2011 to April 4, 2012) program is for faculty who are benefits-eligible and hold one of the following titles, with or without Clinical or Research in the title: Teaching Associate, Instructor, Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The services for this program are provided, under contract with UIC, by WorkLife Innovations, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nurtur Health Inc. This program provides an opportunity for faculty to speak with a child or elder care consultant to obtain referral services. To request referral services from a Nurtur Performance WorkLife consulant: call 1-800-568-7436 or fill a Contact Us form available on the website: http://uic.mynurturlife.com Additional details are provided in the information guide and FAQ. The Nurtur Performance WorkLife Consultants will work with faculty members to research their specific questions utilizing their professional experience and knowledge of the Chicagoland child care resources and national elder care resources. They will provide consultation, referrals, and information, not recommendations. Faculty are responsible for selecting their own care once they have received the appropriate information and for paying the cost of the actual care selected.
This program will collect data on usage level to determine if the program will be continued or be expanded. You will be asked to provide demographic information when you request for referral services and/or register as a UIC users for the resources website. All information on usage is confidential and data will be reported in the aggregate.
