Purpose:
The ideas produced at the Sept. 12th meeting and in subsequent conversations in departments/ colleges in response to the three questions below were used to formulate answers to those questions.
(1) What is the hallmark of UIC General Education?
(2) What are the Gen Ed topics/modules/threads/experience?
(3) What are the expected outcomes of Gen Ed? How do we assess them?
Participants:
Participants were members of the faculty, staff, and administration. (Please click here to see a report with detailed information about the participants in the conversations)
Ideas were generated with regards to the means by which UIC can provide the training / information / experiences identified as the necessary hallmarks, components and outcomes of the UIC general education.
