The Office of High School Development coordinates UIC’s collaboration with UIC College Preparatory High School, a campus of the Noble Street Network of Charter Schools; administers UIC-based programs for pre-college students, including dual-credit and dual-enrollment courses with partner Chicago Public Schools (CPS) high schools; administers particular student-success initiatives for UIC students, including a peer-mentoring program for first-year students who are graduates of CPS high schools in the Little Village neighborhood; and conducts research and development projects to improve high school mathematics education, often in conjunction with UIC’s Learning Sciences Research Institute. The Office resides within the Office of Student Success and Belonging.
