Urban Mathematics Leadership Network (UMLN)

The Urban Mathematics Leadership Network (UMLN), a program of the Charles A Dana Center at the University of Texas at Austin is a national network of the mathematics leaders from 22 of the largest school districts in the country. Together, these districts serve roughly 50 percent of all students enrolled in urban districts nationwide. UMLN provides a forum for the nation’s largest school districts to work together on mathematics issues common to each other by promoting cross-district dialogue, knowledge and ideas.

With Uri Treisman and Susan Hull of the UT Dana Center, Martin Gartzman, Assistant Vice Chancellor for High School Development at UIC, co-directs UMLN.  For more information about UMLN, please visit the Charles A. Dana Center’s site at http://www.utdanacenter.org/umln/about.php or contact Martin Gartzman at gartzman@uic.edu or (312) 355-2154.
