SEL/SES
Space
With plans for the new ACTB building to be finished in 2008,
the Provost charged the SEL/SES Space Committee to examine the existing
Science and Engineering facilities (SEL, SES, ERF, and CEB) and coordinate
the planning of that space so that it can function optimally for
research, teaching, and unanticipated future needs.
The
SEL/SES Space Committee began meeting in early 2004 to begin its
work. Currently, the committee's progress has led to the hiring
a team of consultants led by the firm of HarleyEllis to conduct
a space analysis and preliminary planning study on how to approach
the many facility and spatial issues, and to take maximum advantage
of the opportunities presented by the faculty and space in SEL, SES,
ERF and CEB.
