1. Will my AP credit satisfy program requirements for GPPA?
Medicine accepts AP credit in all applicable areas but requires that students take additional course work in the same discipline for any AP credit taken to fulfill GPPA requirements in the sciences. Beginning with the fall 2007 class, advanced placement credit cannot be used to fulfill the specific behavioral science requirement.

3. My MCAT score is below 30. How will I know whether I will be required to take the summer preparation course before enrolling in medical school at UIC?
The College of Medicine will contact all applicants who have an MCAT score below 30 to inform them of their status in regards to the summer prematriculation program. This happens between March and April prior to enrollment in the College of Medicine. Students should not contact COM regarding this issue.
4. I want to switch campus assignments for medical school, is this possible?
Students are expected to attend medical school at the campus that they have been assigned. Requests should only be submitted after students have submitted their application for medical school. Such requests will follow the standard procedures put in place at the time of matriculation for all students. There is no guarantee that such requests will be honored.
