Residency

Most GPPA programs accept applications from students regardless of their residency status; however, applicants to the GPPA Medicine, Dentistry, and Public Health Program have specific residency requirements.

 

I am not an Illinois resident, can I still apply for the GPPA program in Medicine or in Dentistry?
At this time we are not admitting non-Illinois resident students into the Medicine or Dentistry GPPA programs.

How long do I have to live in Illinois to be considered an Illinois resident?
At least 1 year at time of application. If you are claiming residency through your parents or a legal guardian, you must submit documentation in accordance with our residency requirements. Information on residency can be found at http://www.usp.uillinois.edu/residency.asp.
