National Geographic Young Explorers Grants - funds for projects in research, conservation or exploration
Talbots Scholarship Foundation Awards - (10) $15,000 scholarships and (1) $30,000 scholarship to women who are pursuing a college degree later in life (late 20s to 60s)
UIC Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services Program (LARES) - scholarship listings for UIC Latino and Latina students
UNCF Scholarships - variety of awards from partners and sponsors with the UNCF to undergraduate and graduate students; preference for African American students and students at UNCF Member Colleges
August:
American Fire Sprinkler Association Second Chance Scholarship Contest - for U.S. citizens or permanent residents who received a high school diploma; complete a registration page, read a fire safety essay and take a 10-question multiple choice test to qualify for up to 10 entries to win one of five ($1,000) scholarships; funding to go towards college expenses
UIC Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Tuition Award - (FALL TRANSFERS) for UIC undergraduates only, one-time, one-semester tuition waiver, to new Honors College transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa, have a minimum of a 3.5 transfer GPA, and are enrolled for at least 12 credit hours during the term in which they apply
UIC Transfer Merit Tuition Award - (FALL TRANSFERS) for UIC undergraduates only, given on a competitive basis to new transfer students entering UIC in the fall; must be enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program at UIC, have a minimum transfer GPA of 3.25 on a minimum of 45 transfer credits, and be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours in the fall term

Polish American Association Lyczko Scholarship - for students of Polish descent pursuing undergraduate degrees at an accredited university
Acorn Equality Fund Scholarship - for gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered students, allies OR the children of gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered parents; must retain permanent residence in the AEF service area (all Illinois counties except: Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will) and attend any accredited post-secondary educational facility; awards range $1,000-$5,000
October:
Asian Women in Business Scholarship – for females of Asian or Pacific Islander descent; must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents; must have a 3.0/4.0 GPA and either demonstrated a leadership role in a community endeavor and/or a record of entrepreneurial achievement; awards of $2,500
Chicago Consular Corps Scholarship - (UIC UNDERGRADUATES AND GRADUATE STUDENTS ONLY) nine scholarships for current UIC foreign students, and one scholarship for an UIC American national; all fields
Everett and Florence Drumright Scholarships - (FOR UIC UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS ONLY) all majors, who are American-born of Chinese descent (offered in both fall and spring semesters)
Frank Educational Fund | Association to Unite the Democracies - (FALL DEADLINE) supports thesis or dissertation work relating to international integration and/or federalism and coursework that places major weight on international integration; or independent study project relating to international integration and federalism to be conducted as part of a graduate program
Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation Scholarship - (FOR STUDENTS IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS ONLY) for full-time undergraduate Latino students whose home residence is in Illinois and are attending an Illinois college or university; awards of $2,000
Komen College Scholarship Program - must be a U.S. citizen, or documented permanent resident of the U.S. (or US Territory); have lost a parent/guardian to breast cancer OR Must be a breast cancer survivor diagnosed at 25 years or younger; a high school senior, college freshman, sophomore or junior plannning to attend a state-supported college or university in the state where they permanently reside (students in Washington DC can attend state-supported schools in Maryland or Virginia); have a GPA of 2.8 or higher; no older than 25 years old; and be a driven advocate for breast cancer education and research who is able to complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service per semester; awards of $10,000 a year for up to four years
La Unidad Latina Foundation (Fall) - educational scholarships are awarded to Hispanic students on a competitive basis and range from $250 to $1000
November:
AANAPISI Scholarships for Spring Semester - for current undergraduate Asian American and Pacific Islander students at UIC; must have a 2.25 GPA or higher and some level of financial need
Harvey Fellows Program | Mustard Seed Foundation - Christians; various fields; graduate work
December:
Hispanic Scholarship Fund - various fields, awards and deadlines, for Hispanic students in high school, community college, or at a four-year university
P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship - scholarships for international women students to pursue graduate study in the United States and Canada
January:
Josephine De Kármán Fellowship Trust - open to students in any discipline, including international students, who are currently enrolled in a university or college located within the United States -- undergraduates with only one year remaining and graduates students planning defense of their thesis/dissertation at the end of the following academic year; minimum of ten (10) fellowships -- $22,000 for graduate students and $14,000 for undergraduate students -- are awarded for one year (non-renewable and non-postponable)
Pan-Hellenic Scholarship Foundation - awards for Greek American students attending or planning to attend four-year universities in pursuit of a bachelor's degree
Samuel Huntington Public Service Award - a $10,000 stipend for a graduating senior to pursue a public service project anywhere in the world for one year before proceeding to graduate school or a career

Young People For (YP4) Fellowship - for all undergraduate students; leadership development program focusing on identifying, engaging and empowering young progressive leaders to effect positive change on their campuses and in their communities
February:
American Foreign Service Association Youth Scholarships - various fields; for dependents (children) of active or retired Foreign Service Officers
Avery Brundage Scholarship - (UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS STUDENTS ONLY) scholarship for students at the three U of I campuses with demonstrated athletic ability, where athletics has played a significant part in their development
Bank of America Joe Martin Scholarship - available for college or vocational schools to dependents of associates who have been employed by Bank of America for at least 1 year; dependents of deceased, disabled, or retired associates also are eligible; awards range from $1,000-$5,000
Hellenic Times Scholarship Fund - for undergraduate or graduate students of Greek descent between the ages of 17 and 25; enrolled at an accredited college or university
HIAS Chicago Undergraduate Scholarship - for full-time students who are Jewish immigrants to the U.S. and applied for Permanent Residency (i.e. a “Green Card”) or Citizenship with the assistance of HIAS Chicago between January 1, 2001 and the present; must have lived in the U.S. since March 1, 2010 or earlier and demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, assistance to your community, and a well thought out educational plan
HIAS Chicago Graduate Scholarship - for full-time graduate or professional students who are Jewish immigrants to the U.S. and received assistance from HIAS Chicago at any time; must have lived in U.S. for at least two years and demonstrate financial need
Illinois Dream Scholarship – for undocumented students who have resided with his or her parent(s) or guardian(s) while attending high school in Illinois and have an Illinois high school diploma or equivalent; must be an incoming freshman, current undergraduate or transfer student who possesses at least a 2.5/4.0 GPA
Jewish Federation Academic Scholarship Program - for Jewish college and graduate students pursuing degrees in the "helping" professions
La Unidad Latina Foundation (Spring) - educational scholarships are awarded to Hispanic students on a competitive basis and range from $250 to $1000
Roothbert Fund Scholarships - (PLEASE NOTE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT WHEN REVIEWING) for men and women in need of financial aid to further their education; principal focus is grants ($2,000-$3,000) to undergraduate or graduate study at accredited colleges or universities; seeks candidates who are "motivated by spiritual values," and works to foster fellowship among them
Scholarship Association for UIC - (FOR CURRENT, CONTINUING, FULL-TIME UIC STUDENTS ONLY) over 50 awards, for various majors; undergraduate and graduate students, ranging from $500-$5,000
UIC College of Liberal Arts and Sciences - scholarships available for UIC students enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Asian Pacific Fund - various fields; 16 different scholarships supporting undergraduate and graduate students of Asian & Pacific Islander backgrounds
Hispanic College Fund College and Career Institute Scholarship for Puerto Rican students - preference for students in Puerto Rico; must be a U.S. citizen with a 3.0 GPA or better and Puerto Rican or of Puerto Rican descent; scholarships from $500-$5,000; must be full-time undergraduate
Jeanette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund - for women ages 35 and older pursuing and associate's or first bachelor's degree; low-income/need is considered
JW Saxe Prize - award for undergraduate or graduate students for supplemental funding in taking a low-pay or no-pay public service internship or position
League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Scholarship Fund - Hispanic students; must apply through a local LULAC council (info on website)
Tillman Military Scholars - for military veterans or active-duty service members and their spouses to pursue undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate degrees at a public or private US-based four-year institutios; renewable awards
UIC Office of Student Affairs - for UIC undergraduate students in all majors
April:
Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Scholarships - Latino students in the United States who have a history of performing public service-oriented activities in their communities, demonstrate a desire to continue their civic engagement in the future; no GPA or academic major requirement
Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund - grants to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing social justice and activism
Frank Educational Fund | Association to Unite the Democracies - (SPRING DEADLINE) supports thesis or dissertation work relating to international integration and/or federalism and coursework that places major weight on international integration; or independent study project relating to international integration and federalism to be conducted as part of a graduate program

UIC Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship - (FOR UIC STUDENTS ONLY) any discipline; undergraduate and graduate/professional school students; African American, Hispanic and Native American Indian or Alaskan Native students
United Methodist Church Scholarships - for students in all fields who are active, full members of a United Methodist Church for at least one year prior to applying; are enrolled in or have been admitted to a degree program in an accredited college or university WITHIN the United States; and are maintaining a grade point average of 2.5 or above
May:
Carpe Diem Foundation of Illinois Scholarship Program - ($10 application fee from foundation) scholarships in the amount of $1,500 per year applicable to tuition, room, board and books at U.S. accredited educational institutions; renewable for up to four years
HACU-Southwest Airlines Travel Grant - funding air travel for undergraduate and graduate students who go to school away from home
Iranian-American Scholarship Fund - for current undergraduate and graduate students (no freshmen or PhD students) with verifiable Iranian heritage who are current U.S. citizens or permanent residents; demonstrated financial need and commitment to community service
Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans Joseph Cardinal Bernadin Scholarship - (CHICAGO AREA RESIDENTS ONLY) for males who are full Italian or 50% Italian ancestry; either already enrolled in an accredited college/university or a senior in high school accepted for enrollment by an accredited college/university; must have 3.75/4.0 GPA or above; one award of $2,000
Korean American Community Services (KACS) Sei Won Kim Scholarship - for Korean American students in the Chicago area planning careers in human services, public health or other related fields
Korean Resource Center Dream Scholarship Fund - for students who identify as Korean American or Asian and Pacific Islander American; must demonstrate financial need and achievement in the arts, community service, sports or other activities
NCAA Division I Degree Completion Award Program - (FOR STUDENT-ATHLETES ONLY) assists student-athletes who have exhausted their eligibility for institutional financial aid (in five years); must have completed eligibility for athletics-related aid at a Division I member institution before applying and be within 30 semester hours of their degree requirements; recipients get an amount equivalent to tuition and fees, and they will also receive a book allowance based on the number of hours in which they are enrolled

The Christophers Video Contest for College Students - for undergraduate and graduate students; film or video creations
(5 minutes or less in length) to best communicate

Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Spouses Education Scholarship - for students preparing to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree full-time OR already current full-time students in good academic standing at an accredited college or university; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale; exhibit leadership ability and participate in community service activities
