Eligibilty: Must be a prospective/current graduate student and/or postdoctoral scholar; be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; show commitment to a career in mental health research or services relevant to ethnic and racial minority groups. Members of the following minority groups are encouraged to apply: African Americans, Hispanics, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders.

Description: Five scholarship programs support research on issues related to ethnic minority mental health and on the quality of mental health treatment delivered to ethnic minority populations. Programs include: Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Fellowship (MHSAS), Mental Health Research Fellowship, HIV/AIDS Research Fellowship, Neuroscience Fellowship, and Minority Aging Network in Psychology (MANIP). Some awards are renewable for up to three years. Competitive stipends and benefits are offered to all fellows.
