Description: Global E³ is an international exchange program for engineering students. The program offers the opportunity for American students to study in one of 17 countries overseas, and for international students at partner campuses to study in the United States. The program is designed to allow students to take courses overseas for credit at their home institutions for one semester or for one full year. Students are also given the opportunity to complement their study abroad experience with an internship after one semester of study abroad.

Participating students are nominated by their home institution and receive credit at home for academic work completed abroad. Integral to the program is intensive language instruction and the opportunity for students to undertake a practical, paid internship in an industrial setting or laboratory in the host country. Please visit the UIC Study Abroad office for information on how to apply for this program.
