Eligibility:
Open to graduate students whose principal or major studies
have
been in architecture, fine arts or planning. There is no age limit,
but all factors being equal, applicants 25 or younger will
receive
preference. The candidate may undertake no regular remunerative
employment during the award tenure.
Description:
Three Kinley Fellowships are awarded to college graduates who
have majored in art, architecture (design or history), music,
theatre or urban planning and who plans to pursue advanced study
in the U.S. or abroad. Study may be at an approved institution,
with an approved teacher or independent.
The amounts of the awards are as follows: $9,000 for art, achitecture, dance, or urban and regional planning; $20,000 for instrumental or vocal music, history, art, or dance; and $20,000 in any field of music. One or two alternate awards may also be granted.
