Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen; majoring in any business field; have a GPA of 3.0/4.0 scale; be enrolled full-time at a four-year university; and be continuing on as an undergraduate in the academic year that the scholarship is awarded.
Description: The Cirilo McSween (New York Life) $2,500 Scholarship program is offered through and run by the Rainbow-PUSH coalition. A complete application consists of: a grade report/transcript (most recent high school transcript for seniors, college transcript for post-secondary students); two letters of recommendation (non-family, preferably teachers or professors); proof of current enrollment or acceptance in a college/university (course schedule/admission letter, if applicable); and a minimum 500 word essay identifying five prerequisites for success and explaining in detail your personal philosophy for the pursuit of excellence. Explain how you will use your college education to achieve this pursuit of excellence. This is a renewable scholarship of up to four years based on GPA.
