Eligibility:
Candidates must be undergraduate or graduate students demonstrating
a strong commitment to public service issues. Applicants should
express a desire to learn about issues affecting the federal government,
and display excellent writing and analytical skills. Candidates
must be able to excel in a fast-paced working environment, and
must be proficient in web-based research and Microsoft programs.
Description:
Through an established internship program, the Partnership for
Public Service offers a unique opportunity for public-service
minded students and graduates to gain a new appreciation and understanding
of public service through civil service.
Interns contribute
to all areas of the organization, providing support to programming,
legislative, research, and communications departments. In addition
to regular assignments, interns have the opportunity to take initiative
on special projects in areas of personal interest to them, so
that they may get the most out of their experience with the Partnership
and have a significant individual impact on furthering the Partnership’s
mission.
