PolitiCorps Summer Program

Website: http://www.politicorps.org

Deadline: Rolling admissions through early June, annually

Important Notes: Extensive campaign experience is not a prerequisite for PolitiCorps—but an understanding of campaign lifestyle does help Fellows make the most of the Summer Institute experience.

Eligibility: PolitiCorps Fellows are college seniors or recent graduates from diverse backgrounds who have demonstrated commitment to progressive values and a deep interest in the political process and public policy. Candidates with alternative educational experiences are also welcome to apply. PolitiCorps Fellows come from every state in the nation, and from a diverse range of experiential and cultural backgrounds.

Description: PolitiCorps is a 10-week political boot camp, and the only program of its kind - a political immersion and leadership training program designed to engage and prepare college students and recent graduates for a life of public service through a combination of skills and policy classes, intensive field work, strategic planning exercises, and access to a broad network of activists, strategists, and policymakers. PolitiCorps allows college graduates find meaningful jobs and internships with socially responsible organizations and campaigns, and is a way for college students and recent graduates to jumpstart their careers in public interest work.
