Rhodes Student Information Guide

The Rhodes scholarship provides funding for students to study abroad at Oxford University for a period of 2-3 years. Each year, 32 scholarships are awarded throughout the United States to students with scholarship, leadership, service, and demonstrated potential to lead and serve others.

In order to be eligible, candidates should have at least a 3.7 GPA, be active in campus activities, research, and community service. Candidates must have their first BA by the beginning of their study at Oxford, and be 18-24 years of age on October 1 of the year in which you apply.

UIC will interview campus nominees for the Rhodes Scholarship in September of each year. In order to be considered as a nominee for this award you must contact OSSP directly for more information by the first week of the fall semester in which you are applying.
