Eligibility:
Students interested in conducting a project related to public
service. Preference is given to students who already have a
place in an existing program or who have created their own program.
Description:
The J.W. Saxe Memorial Fund provides scholarships annually to
one or more undergraduate or graduate students working in public
service. The award is meant to enable the student to gain practical
experience in public service by taking a no-pay or low-pay job
during a summer or other term.
Application
Instructions: A
complete application includes the following: a resume, a statement
of short- and long-term goals, three letters of recommendation,
and a supporting letter from a faculty member. Winners are notified
by May 1. OSSP will assist students with the compilation
and submission of J.W. Saxe Prize applications.
