Important
Notes: Students must be nominated for a Udall scholarship
by their college's Udall faculty representative; direct
applications are not accepted. Contact the Office of Special
Scholarship Programs for more information on applying. Universities
may nominate up to 6 candidates.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be sophomores or juniors in the academic year
in which they are applying and be studying the environment or
related fields. Native American and Alaskan Native students
may also be studying health care or tribal public policy. Applicants
must have a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher and be a U.S. citizen.
Description:
Each year, the Foundation awards undergraduate scholarships
of up to $5,000 to sophmores and juniors in fields related to
the environment, and to Native American and Alaska Natives in
fields related to health care or tribal policy. Scholars selected
during their sophomore year may be renominated during the next
year's competition. Over 50 awards are given annually; this
year the foundation expects to award 80 nationally.
