Interim Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs

The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs reports directly to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The responsibilities of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs are to provide leadership to the campus and support to the Provost on issues related to faculty. The issues are, but not limited to policies related to promotion and tenure, liaison with campus Promotion and Tenure Committee, mentoring programs for academic administrators, faculty orientation, mentoring and career development programs, programs to recruit and retain underrepresented faculty, programs to enhance teaching, sabbatical review, emeritus appointments, academic grievances and other issues related to human resources as they pertain to faculty. In addition, the Vice Provost oversees faculty awards and Distinguished Professor Program.
