Bette L. Bottoms, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs and Dean of the Honors College
The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs reports directly to the Provost and is the chief academic and administrative officer responsible for overseeing and coordinating the undergraduate experience, which includes, among other components, the Study Abroad Office, Guaranteed Professional Program Admission, the Office of Classroom Learning Environments, ARMY ROTC, and the new Undergraduate Success Center. The Vice Provost coordinates UIC Summer College, the Undergraduate Advising Resource Center, the Undergraduate Research Experience, the Chancellor's Undergraduate Research Award, and others. In cooperation with Campus Housing, the Honors College, and the University Library, she also sponsors the UIC Freshman Read.
The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs also holds the title of Dean of the Honors College.
