There are many search firms that specialize in the needs of institutions of higher learning. Departments may opt to retain an independent search firm to consult in order to successfully fill an open position. The University currently has on contract a number of fine search firms that specialize in higher education searches. Consult with the Office of Business and Financial Services (http://www.obfs.uillinois.edu/) for guidelines before selection of professional and artistic services contractors. Search firms must adhere to all federal, state and university guidelines in the hiring process.
