We hope you are as thrilled as we are to join the UIC community and look forward to having you on campus in the fall. The information below will help you take the steps you need to enroll.

Checklist

Activate your netID

To activate, you'll need your University ID Number (UIN) and either a Social Security number (info on SSN) or a Temporary Control Number (info on TCN).

Your UIN is included on all electronic communications from the admissions office, and on your letter of admission.  You can also retrieve your UIN here.
Activate your Enterprise ID

Submit your Intent to Enroll Decision

*you must have activated your netid.

Deadline:  May 1

In order to secure your place at UIC, you must submit your Intent to Enroll (ITE) decision.  You may mail or fax your response, but the preferred option is submit your response by logging in (using your NetID and password from the above step) to my.UIC.edu

Follow these steps:

  1. Activate your portal account by clicking on the "Activate your portal account." button under "First Time Portal Users?".
    Note: Activating your portal account does not mean you have submitted your Intent to Enroll.
  2. Log into my.uic.edu using your NetID and password by clicking on Login under "Existing Portal Users?".
  3. Click on the "UIC Connect" tab
  4. Click on the "Pathway to Enrollment" tab
  5. Click on the " Submit your Intent to Enroll Now “
    Select "Yes" or "No" and click on submit.
  6. Verify your response and click confirm.
  7. A web page with a confirmation number will be displayed.
  8. Print the confirmation page for your records.


Verify that your Intent to Enroll has been processed by the Office of Admissions by logging into my.uic.edu after three business days. In the UIC Intent to Enroll section on the Pathway to Enrollment tab in UIC Connect, it will state "Our records show that you have accepted admission to the University of Illinois at Chicago...." If your Intent to Enroll has not been processed after three business days, please contact the Office of Admissions at 312.996.4350.

If you are unable to resolve a NetID issue or submit your Intent to Enroll and the deadline is approaching, you need to either fax or mail your Intent to Enroll form to the UIC Office of Admissions to ensure you meet the deadline.
Sign up for Placement Tests
Most first year students and some transfer students are required to take placement tests. For detailed information, go to: http://pep.testing.uic.edu

Placement Test information will be available in my.uic.edu in February 2013
Apply for Financial Aid
www.fafsa.ed.gov

Priority deadline:  March 1.
To be considered for Financial Aid, which can include loans, scholarships and grants, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Apply for Campus Housing
www.housing.uic.edu/apply

Priority deadline:  March 15

Residence halls are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Apply early for best options.
Register for New Student Orientation
After submitting your Intent to Enroll decision, you will receive more information about Orientation. During Orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor and register for your classes. For questions about New Student Orientation, call 312.996.3271.
Send Final Academic Transcripts

Deadline:  August 1
Please be sure to have your final official transcripts sent to us. You can find the form to give to your high school online here.  Send your final transcripts after you complete your spring semester to:

Complete and Return the Medical Immunization Form

*only students living on campus are required to complete this form
