Congratulations on being admitted to UIC!

We’re excited to have you join the UIC community. The information below will help you with your first steps:

Checklist

Activate your UIC NetID / password
First activate your UIC NetID / password. You'll need your Univ. ID Number and either a Social Security number (info on SSN) or a Temporary Control Number (info on TCN). Then go to: www.activatenetid.accc.uic.edu

(If you do not remember your University Identification Number (UIN), you can retrieve your UIN)
Activate your EnterpriseID / password
Next activate your EnterpriseID / password (more info here). You can do this by going to: https://eastemp.admin.uillinois.edu/eas/servlet/EasBluestemReset
Submit your intent to Enroll Decision
In order to secure your place at UIC, you must submit your Intent to Enroll (ITE) decision as soon as possible or by May 1st (Fall) or by December 1st (Spring). You may mail or fax your response, but the preferred option is to log in (using your NetID and password from the above step) to my.UIC.edu then submit your ITE response.

Follow these steps:
  1. Activate your portal account by clicking on the "Activate your portal account." button under "First Time Portal Users?".
    Note: Activating your portal account does not mean you have submitted your Intent to Enroll.
  2. Log into my.uic.edu using your NetID and password by clicking on Login under "Existing Portal Users?".
  3. Click on the "UIC Connect" tab
  4. Click on the "Pathway to Enrollment" tab
  5. Click on the " Submit your Intent to Enroll Now " in the " UIC Intent to Enroll " portlet
  6. Select "Yes" or "No" and click on submit.
  7. Verify your response and click confirm.
  8. A web page with a confirmation number will be displayed.
  9. Print the confirmation page for your records.
  10. Verify that your Intent to Enroll has been processed by the Office of Admissions by logging into my.uic.edu after three business days. In the "UIC Intent to Enroll" section on the "Pathway to Enrollment" tab in UIC Connect, it will state "Our records show that you have accepted admission to the University of Illinois at Chicago...." If your Intent to Enroll has not been processed after 3 business days then contact the Office of Admissions at (312) 996-4350 and Press " 1 ".

NetID Problems?
If you have already activated your NetID but do not remember what it is, you can search for it in the UIC Online Phonebook. If you do not remember the password for your NetID, or you want to setup password recovery mechanisms or change the password, you can use the password changing utility.

If you are unable to resolve a NetID issue or submit your intent to enroll and the Intent to Enroll deadline is approaching, you need to either fax or mail your Intent to Enroll form to the UIC Office of Admissions to ensure you meet the deadline.
Sign up for Placement Tests
Most first year students and some transfer students are required to take placement tests. For detailed information, go to: http://pep.testing.uic.edu.

To sign up, go to: https://my.uic.edu/ Go to Pathway to Enrollment tab in UIC Connect. In the Placement Testing portlet, click on?"Placement Test Reservation".
Apply for Financial Aid
To be considered for Financial Aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which can be found at www.fafsa.ed.gov . Please note that the FAFSA priority deadline  is March 1st.
Apply for Campus Housing
If you want to live on campus, it is important to apply early. Please use the online campus housing application which can be found at www.housing.uic.edu/apply
Register for and Attend New Student Orientation
Only after submitting your Intent To Enroll decision, you will receive more information about Orientation. During Orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor and register for your classes. For questions about New Student Orientation, call 312-996-3271.
Send Final Academic Transcripts
Please be sure to have your final transcripts sent. You can find the form online by going to: www.oar.uic.edu/forms. Send to: Post Admit Unit, Office of Admissions (MC 018), University of Illinois at Chicago, Box 5220, Chicago, Illinois 60680-5220.
Complete and Return the Medical Immunization Form (for students living on Campus)
You can find the form online by going to: www.oar.uic.edu/forms. Send to: Office of Medical Immunization Records, University of Illinois at Chicago, Box 5220, Chicago, Illinois 60680-5220. For additional information, please call (312) 413-0464.
