Office of Admissions, Student Services Building (SSB)
The Office of Admissions is in the Student Services Building (SSB), located at 1200 West Harrison Street.
By car
UIC is just west of the junction of three major expressways: the Eisenhower (I-290), Kennedy (I-90/94 Northwest), and Dan Ryan (I-90/94 Southeast). Several exits provide access to the campus: Ashland, Damen, Halsted, Harrison, Morgan, Racine, Roosevelt and Taylor. From downstate, both I-55 and I-57 feed into northwestbound I-90/94. Parking
Short-Term Meter Parking Lot at the corner of Throop and Congress Parkway (a quarter for each 10 minutes for up to 2 hours maximum)
Harrison Street Parking Structure on Harrison Street just east of the Pavilion ($10.75 flat rate Monday - Friday)
Parking Lot 9 on Northeast corner of Harrison and Morgan. This lot has variable rates:
0 - 1/2 hour - $4.00
1/2 hour - 1 and 1/2 hours - $6.00
1 and 1/2 hours - 2 and 1/2 hours - $8.00
2 and 1/2 hours - 3 and 1/2 hours - $9.50
3 and 1/2 hours - 4 and 1/2 hours - $11.00
4 and 1/2 hours or more - $12.50
Parking Lot 1B on the Southeast corner of Harrison and Racine. This lot has variable rates:
0 - 1/2 hour - $4.00

By public transportation
UIC is served by several city bus and rail routes: the Blue Line and Pink Line rapid transit trains (U of I/Halsted, Racine, Medical Center, or Polk Street stops) and several bus lines including No. 60 Blue Island-26th Street, No. 8 Halsted, No. 9 Ashland, No. 7 Harrison, No. 12 Roosevelt, No. 126 Jackson, and No. 37 Taylor Street (Sedgwick).

Downtown terminals Northwestern and Union stations are linked to the southbound No. 60 bus on Clinton Avenue. From the Rock Island and Illinois Central terminals, take the southwestbound Blue Line O'Hare/Congress/Douglas L train. You may also walk to campus from the train stations or take the campus shuttle bus. Visit the Metra web site for train schedules and system maps.
