Admission Requirements - GPPA & Honors College
GPPA applicants must meet the following admission requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident for the programs of Medicine, Dentistry, and Public Health.
- Be a resident of Illinois for Medicine and Dentistry.
- To determine if you qualify for Illinois residency, please refer to the University of Illinois residency requirements.
Additional considerations for admissions
The most successful candidates for GPPA typically have a composite ACT score of 28 or combined (math + critical reading) SAT score of 1240 and are ranked within the top 15% of their graduating class.
Admission Requirements – Honors College
Any incoming freshman may apply and be considered for admission. Entering freshmen with high ACT/SAT scores and exceptional high school records are encouraged to apply.
Admission is based upon standardized test scores, high school class rank, grades earned in high school, extracurricular interests and activities, strength of the application essays, interview, and willingness to participate in the Honors College.
