Native America: webpages
The wide range of websites
on the American Indian is well-represented in one sprawling site
developed by an American high school teachers, Ms. Oz. Called Native
American History and Culture, it includes the accurate and the
inaccurate, the sensitive and the boorish. It's an excellent place
to start.
Native
American tribes are increasingly web-savvy, and many have produced
their own webpages. Some are rich in material, others are portals
advertising the tribal casinos. The United States Government, and
other state and local government agencies, are also presenting their
faces on the web. Finally, there are some newspapers that are devoted
to Native American affairs, either within an individual tribe, or
across tribes.
