Tour Itinerary
(Click here for a Print-Friendly Version)

Touring the United States with the SUSI is made possible in part by the talents of our Institute travel specialist, Alicia Boada. Alicia has been supervising the tour for a decade, and her experience as an international travel agent and tour specialist is invaluable. Those of you who speak Spanish will have the opportunity to brush up on your South American idioms as well - Alicia was born and raised in South America.

The tour portion of the Institute is a great deal of fun, but it is also hard work. It is the opportunity to test many of the ideas and proposals of the Institute regarding American culture and life, by looking at the everyday contemporary lives, landscapes, and rituals of Americans in a wide variety of settings - the American Midwest, Washington, DC, and the South. On the bus, we will have discussions and lectures, and there will always be the opportunity for questions. What follows is not the final schedule, as some parts of the tour are awaiting confirmation.
