Each of us may have a book within us, but how do we get it on paper? This seminar will address the challenges of turning ideas into books or long pieces, whatever the genre, taking a step-by-step approach to the process. We will work on generating, developing, and refining concepts; mastering (or subverting) genre conventions; dealing with writer's block; drafting; organizing; revising; and researching markets. You will then share your results in a supportive and constructive atmosphere and get input both online and in class. The seminar is suitable for writers in all genres, at all levels, at any stage of a project (including those who have previously taken Enhancing the Muse).
