Writing Matters is designed to help professionals in any field or industry write for the non-specialist, including the general public. Types of writing practiced and discussed include fact sheets; brochures and newsletters; education materials; opinion pieces; articles and essays in consumer publications; and non-fiction book chapters. Emphasis in the workshop is on writing clear, concise, and jargon-free prose that both informs and engages the general reader.
